What's UP?

The sound of waves crashing, the feeling of sand between your toes -  with summer right around the corner, everyone wants a piece of paradise, and pets are no different.  While taking a exotic vacation may not be in your plans, you can give a pet a permanent place in paradise  - no major travel required - by adopting a pet.  We will be at PETSMART at the FORUM on 19 May from 11-4 with cats and dogs for adoption; their idea of paradise is simple:  a staycation at your house forever!

Tessa
Blitz and Tessa are truly Best Friends Forever.  They are both senior dogs who lived together for many years until their elderly owner was no longer able to care for them. These pals both have very friendly, sweet dispositions and are looking for a Forever Home together.

Foster Program For Senior Pets

Since we are a No-Kill shelter, we have many pets that have resided at the Shelter for years, with little chance of adoption through no fault of their own. The intent of the CASI Animal Foster Program for Seniors, is to place these harder-to-adopt animals, primarily senior cats and dogs, into loving  and safe homes so they do not have to spend their twilight years in a shelter.  Despite how much we love and care for our animals, there is no place like home. We are looking for individuals  who, with our help, are ready to make a difference in a pet’s life. You supply the home, love, patience, and commitment and we will provide routine medical costs (such as vaccinations and medications) and assist with any transitional issues. If you think you have what it takes to be a “Foster Parent”, give us a  call at 210-658-4821 or stop by and see us at the Shelter.

                        ADOPTION PHOTO GALLERY

If you adopted a pet from us in the past several months you may be in our Adoption Gallery. Thank you to our wonderful families who provided Forever Homes for  some very special pets and to PETSMART at the Forum  for hosting our many adoption events!

Meet Cassie, A Senior Lady

Picture
Cassie
Cassie is a 9 -year-old Border Collie/Retriever/Lab blend who came to CASI 2 years ago, when her owner could no longer care for her.  Cassie is part of our senior foster program--you provide  the food, shelter and love--and we provide the medical care.  Cassie is a very sweet, calm dog (but still has plenty of spunk) who is house-trained, spayed, and gets along well with other dogs--she would make a great addition to any family.  If you would like to adopt Cassie or give her a permanent foster home, stop by and meet her!

Meet Beasley, A Senior Gent

Picture
Beasley
Beasley recently celebrated his 10th birthday at CASI.  Beasley  along with his 4 siblings, was born at CASI and is now part of our senior foster  program--you provide  the food, shelter and love--and we provide the medical care.  Beasley is neutered, litter-trained and ready for a new home.  If you would like to give Beasley the ultimate birthday present -- a permanent foster home, please stop by and visit our cattery!

We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter existing solely on grants, donations, adoption fees and fund raising.  Your donations are tax-deductible.  Click  here to see how you can help make a difference!
